SMART Senteo Course
The SMART Senteo Course is designed in the belief that “Assessment for Learning” is an important component in the inclusive classroom. It is designed for anyone with a basic understanding of computers. Participants with a working knowledge of SMART Notebook software will benefit most from the workshop.
An experienced teacher from Advanced Education will lead the SMART Senteo course, which combines formal instruction with hands-on learning. Small class sizes and a technology rich classroom guarantee that attendees will have a superior learning experience.
The SMART Senteo Interactive Student Response System workshop is a five-hour hands-on workshop. After reviewing the basics of SMART Notebook Software the rest of the session focuses on using the power and potential of Senteo to gain a better understanding of successes and challenges faced by your students. Participants will use SMART Notebook software and Senteo to create at least one test that makes use of Differentiated Instruction and alternate assessment strategies. We recommend that you bring one or more tests from your class that can be turned into a SMART Notebook lesson. Participants will present their Senteo assessment as part of the session.

- Making use of existing tests and other resources

- Working with the built in grade book feature

- Interpreting results
- Strategies for following up with parents
- Exporting results
- Individualizing tests for special needs students
