Document Cameras & SMART Boards
The document camera course is a half day session that will help participants use the power of the technologies to engage students and enhance learning. It is meant for people who already own or who intend to buy a document camera and who want to learn to use it effectively with a SMART Board. The strategies introduced are not grade specific but participants will learn to use them to meet their individual curriculum needs. A good understanding of Notebook 10 software is a prerequisite to attending this session. Participants should bring with them, manipulatives, books and objects that they use with their students.
An experienced teacher from Advanced Education will lead the Document camera session, which combines formal instruction with hands-on learning. Small class sizes, and a technology rich classroom with computers, SMART Boards, LCD projectors and document cameras, guarantee a superior learning experience for attendees.
Document Cameras & SMART Boards workshop will focus on the following:
- Reviewing Notebook 10 software
- Using Avermedia Avervision CP300 and SMART document cameras
- Learning to connect the document camera
- Using the document camera for projection only
- Using the document camera with the SMART Board
- Learning to capture print and graphics and manipulate them on the SMART Board
- Numeracy and literacy activities
- Using a microscope
- Creating activities for the partipants’ specific needs
